Kane has Been Bodyboarding since he was 12 years old at a deserted little left hand reef in Kurnell until he moved to Cronulla 2 years ago.
Since moving, Kane has met many of the local bodyboarding crew who frequent Cronulla.
"Its good surfing in Cronulla with the local crew, If they're not taking me to new reefs, they are pushing me into decent sized Shark Island, Its helped my surfing progress. I've started in the Emerald Cronulla bodyboard Club comps just to try something different and get some competitive edge"

In 2007 Kane entered the Human Cronulla Shark Island Trials in 6-8 foot waves at Cronulla point. " I was knocked out in my first heat by Matt Young and Tristan Barfield, But the comp was a great experience and it helped push my limits in bigger waves"

Since Then Kane has started part time work in Emerald Surf City, helping out Dez with sales. " Its been good working in the shop, I've learned heaps about how the industry works and I've also scored myself sponsorship with Dunes wetsuits, Carve eyewear and started riding for the shop. Another privilege of working in Emerald is that i get to tag along to new surf spots with Dez, who pushes me to go harder. It helps my surfing more than anything."

Kane's ambitions are for a life of travel, "I want to get myself out there and make my mark in the media. I want to travel, I want to surf bigger and better waves than i ever have before, anything that comes along with that is a bonus. In 5 years time I can see myself with the boys on the road, up and down the coast,  just looking for the biggest, heaviest waves we can find and pushing each other to go harder."
